City Symbol

  To select a new city symbol, we had collected opinions nationwide.
Among proposed 654, "Committee of City Symbol Selection", consisting of residents' representatives and the intellectuals, strictly selected top 5 designs.
At the second selection stage, reflecting the result of 3,000 residents enquete, the design below (designed by Mr. Shuji Hashimoto. Nara Prefecture) was finally selected with the most selections in the enquete.

This design comes from initial letter "F" in "Fukutsu". This design symbolizes "Activated person", combining 3 colors of green meaning nature, blue meaning region, and orange. This symbol corresponds to the basic philosophy of Fukutsu City, "Living in harmony with nature, a city of mutual support."

  Fukutsu City is ready to use this symbol as many occasions as possible to make our city's charm widely spread. The ownership of this design belonging to residents, you are entitled to use it, for example, on uniforms of club teams or other teams, or on booklet of any group.(Previous application is required.)
