An enshrined god is Kagutsuchi-no-Kami, Ukemochi-no-Kami, and was reportedly invited in May, 1720 from Hikosan Shrine in Buzen. At an autumn festival, held on September 15th every year, "Shishi dancing", which was taught by residents of Daibu village, Kaho district, is performed in order to be devoted to god. This dance is said to be delivered by Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine in Kyoto to residents of Daibu village. After a suspension for a while, in 1970, it was revived owing to eagerness of local citizen. It will be a great fun to watch "Shishi dancing", especially, at Katsuura Sea Coast.
