In the recent festival, "Mikoshi" or a mobile shrine starts from Buzan shrine at 4 pm after a spirit is bestowed.
The travel, at Katsuura primary school joined by Daimyo Gyoretsu departed from Shiohama and further by Shishigaku from Katsuraku, heads toward Toshige shrine via Matsubara coast, having a festival and a party, at last returns to Buzan shrine at 7 pm.
The festival line is ordered as follows; drums, an offertory box, a mikoshi, Daimochi, monks, umbrella holders, fan holders,Daimyo Gyoretsu, Shishigaku and participants. Daimyo Gyoratsu consists of Otefuri, rifles, swards, Naginata swards, bows,spears, Hakkaku, Haguma and Hasamibako. In Shishigaku, two young men play parts of two devine spirits, dancing on music played by children. (Instruments used there are big drums, small drums, pipes and champeta.)
Daimyo Gyoretsu and Shishigaku is presented at Shiohama, the starting point, and Katsuura primary school and Matsubara coast on the way of the travel, and Toshige shrine.
Until years ago, at Toshige shrine is held an entertainment as Sumo, old Japanese story tellings and dramas after Mikoshi leaves for Toyoyama shrine by a group of younger men; however, no such extra activities are held recently.
