You may find a small well on the left side of the ex-Karatsu Road (Kawahara-Akama Prefecture Road), if you go on the road from Azemachi-Ku to Munakata city.
This is Taikosui Well.
The well was named because there is a legend that in 1587, Toyotomi Hideyoshi drank water here on the way to Kagoshima to wage a war against Shimazu.
The well stand still with the name on a stone monument.
